How To Play Dungeon Draw

FOR CO-OP YOU’LL NEED: 4 Dice, Paper & Pen

SETUP - IT’S A PARTY!

  • Each player chooses a HERO card, normal side.
  • Set up deck following SOLO rules - one BOSS on the bottom and MERCHANT in the middle.
  • Take turns flipping the top dungeon card.
  • Weakest player starts the game... You decide.

ADDITIONAL RULES

  • Each HERO can only hold 3 ITEMS in CO-OP.
  • The HERO who flips a card attacks first, (unless specified). If the enemy is not defeated, then they deal DAMAGE to the attacking HERO before the next HERO attacks.
  • PARTY effects (DAMAGE and HEALING) are marked by the 2 Player icon.
  • LOOT goes to the HERO who defeats the enemy.
  • Each player tracks HEALTH & LOOT separately.
  • The player who flips TREASURE receives it.
  • Some CHANCE ROLLS can be attempted by the next HERO if the first one fails.
  • You may TRADE or SELL ITEMS between HEROES only after defeating or resolving a dungeon card. (You decide the value of ITEMS).

VICTORY CONDITIONS

  • At least one HERO survives- if multiple get to the end, highest LOOT tally wins!

Forge your legend and draw your way to victory! Welcome HERO! Your goal is to explore the dungeon, collect as much LOOT as you can find, and survive all encounters before your health runs out.

FOR SOLO PLAY YOU’LL NEED: 2 Dice, Paper & Pen

SETUP

  • Choose a HERO CARD, normal side.
  • Remove 1 BOSS CARD and the WANDERING MERCHANT, shuffle all other dungeon cards.
  • Place the WANDERING MERCHANT halfway through the deck and the selected BOSS CARD face down at the bottom of the stack.
  • Flip DUNGEON CARDS over to play.
  • Each card will describe an ITEM that can be obtained, a creature to be dealt with, or an action to be taken.

ITEMS

  • Your HERO can carry 4 ITEMS during their crawl. Use ITEMS before you take action or attack.
  • HEROES may only use 1 each of WEAPON, ARMOR, or SHIELD unless specified.
  • Used or discarded ITEMS are inserted face-up into the middle of unplayed dungeon stack.

SPELLS and POTIONS:

  • SPELLS can be stacked in a single item slot, but can only be carried and cast by HEROES with the spellcasting ability.
  • POTIONS count as one item, but ingredients found in the dungeon can be stacked with an empty bottle in a single slot.

ENCOUNTERS: ATTACK, FLEE or BEFRIEND!

  • Most creatures are clearly ENEMIES and combat is required. HEROES swing first (unless specified).
  • To attack, roll 1 or 2 dice according to the dungeon card to see how much damage you do.
  • Win battles by reducing enemy HEALTH to zero.
  • If they survive, take DAMAGE = enemy’s attack.
  • Keep rolling until one side falls.
  • You may choose to FLEE from any BOSS with a CHANCE ROLL (per PARTY member). EVEN = Get away clean, ODD = They deal damage equal to their attack. Place them face down at the bottom of the unplayed stack, you aren’t rid of them yet...
  • Defeat enemies to gain their LOOT.
  • If any ALLY has joined your PARTY, they attack first, and then alternate attacks with your HERO.
  • ALLIES can be healed or revived, but cannot carry or use ITEMS.

ACTIONS, MERCHANT and LEVELING UP

  • Some cards will require you to make a decision or describe an event. Cards will specify whether this happens before or after combat.
  • The MERCHANT card offers the chance to buy and sell items, if you have the LOOT. In rare cases he may get shuffled back in for a second encounter.
  • Level-Up your HERO; flip card over to reverse side once you’ve purchased or acquired this ability. Your health replenishes when you level up.
  • If a PARTY member falls (their life hits zero) you may choose to REVIVE them for 2000 GOLD. This must be done immediately or they perish.
  • Track LOOT, HEALTH and purchased items on paper, lifecounter, or crawlboard.™

VICTORY: Tally your LOOT to claim your HERO TITLE:

  • LEGENDARY: 30,000 loot
  • HEROIC: 25,000 loot
  • RADIANT: 20,000 loot
  • ELITE: 15,000 loot
  • VALIANT: 10,000 loot
  • STEADFAST: 7,000 loot
  • FEEBLE: 5,000 loot
  • N00B: 3,000 loot
